A 200+ unit campus pairing permanent housing with an on-site medical clinic and workforce-training center.
Hues Hope is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that has spent years helping people navigate the region’s supportive-service landscape. This campus is its move from resource navigation into direct housing development: two towers, 200-plus permanently affordable units, built around the idea that housing, healthcare, and economic opportunity work better delivered together than apart.
Alongside the residential units, the plan calls for an on-site Medical Clinic & Wellness Center and a Training & Development Center — so residents can access healthcare, behavioral-health support, and job training without leaving the campus.
Tower One is planned as medical supportive housing for single adults managing complex medical, behavioral-health, or substance-use needs. Tower Two is planned as family and workforce housing for individuals and families working toward long-term stability.
The model is Housing First and harm-reduction based: stable housing comes first, without sobriety, employment, or program-compliance requirements attached to it. Income targeting runs 0–60% of Area Median Income, with the majority of units set at 30% AMI or below.
This is an early-stage initiative. A development site has not yet been selected or acquired, and Hues Hope’s federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt determination is still pending — both are active, in-progress work, not settled facts. HC Real Estate Services is providing real estate development services for the project as it moves through site selection and capital-stack formation.
